High voltage
feedthroughs
For many years, our experts have been producing highly reliable glass-to-metal fusions for the current feedthroughs of highly robust special capacitors, e.g. in metal housings for tropicalized and height-resistant designs, and for other hermetic high-voltage assemblies.
They ensure high mechanical stability and temperature resistance, high dielectric strength, high insulation resistance and high tracking resistance, cleverly combined with a particularly low contact resistance with a copper core added in the feedthrough tube and thus the lowest energy losses.
With a wide range of shapes, sizes and material combinations, they cover a very broad spectrum of applications. Depending on the design, they are soldered into the partition wall for installation, welded in, screwed in or screwed in as a sealed flange.
Applications
e-mobility, transportation (rail, shipping, special applications in the aerospace sector), capacitors and power semiconductors (diodes, thyristors, transistors, diacs, triacs, MOS-FETs, IGBTs, switches, etc.), high-voltage switches, power supply systems, industrial control and process technology, pharmaceutical industry.
Materials
Vacuum-compatible special steels, stainless steels, Kovar, iron-nickel alloys, glasses and glass ceramics are processed. The materials used offer complete hermetic and pressure-tight protection.
Refinement
Depending on the application, the surfaces can be electroless or electroplated with nickel, gold, rhodium, tin or, if required, copper and silver.
Purely nickel-plated pins are dip-tinned with lead-free solder (RoHS compliant) or with leaded solder for special reliability requirements. The surface of the feedthrough bodies can be electrolytically polished for stainless steel types for maximum shine.
