Single-wire
glass feedthroughs

For many years, our specialists have been producing highly reliable single-wire glass-to-metal fusions for highly insulating and voltage-resistant current feed-throughs in large and miniature hermetic housings.

With a wide range of shapes, sizes and material combinations, they serve a very broad spectrum of applications. Depending on the design, they are soldered, welded, screwed or screwed into the partition wall as a sealed flange.

Applications

Sensor technology, laboratory technology, medical technology, petrochemicals, high-end camera technology, prototype construction, switches, low-voltage power supplies, special applications in the aerospace and pharmaceutical industries, security and defense technology.

Materials

Vacuum-compatible special steels, stainless steels, Kovar, iron-nickel alloys, glasses and glass ceramics are processed. The materials used offer complete hermetic and pressure-tight protection.

Refinement

Depending on the application, the surfaces can be electroless or electroplated with nickel, gold, rhodium, tin or, if required, copper and silver.
Purely nickel-plated pins are dip-tinned with lead-free solder (RoHS compliant) or with leaded solder for special reliability requirements. The surface of the feedthrough bodies can be electrolytically polished for stainless steel types for maximum shine.
